About Tennessee College Republicans
The Tennessee College Republican Committee (TNCR) is the umbrella group for all the College Republican chapters in Tennessee. With chapters in all grand divisions of the state, and all sizes of schools, the TNCR exists to provide representation and resources to enhance the College Republican experience in Tennessee. TNCR is governed by a Board of Directors (made up of one representative from each chapter) and led by an Executive Committee of statewide elected and appointed officers.

History of TNCR
In April of 2004, Zach Condry, a senior at the University of Tennessee, re-founded the Tennessee College Republicans. In a monumental first state convention at Vanderbilt University, schools met from around the state to partake in the drafting of the TNCR Constitution, elect founding officers, and discuss the tasks set before them as grassroots activists in the state.
Throughout the following year, students from East to West worked hard and diligently to ensure the student support of George W. Bush. During the election cycle, over 2,000 voters were registered, numerous candidates were campaigned for, Parties for the President were held statewide on college campuses, and the word of Tennessee College Republicans was spread.
In April of 2005, Lindsay Moffett from Maryville College was elected to head the organization. Through the work of a devoted Executive Board, the TNCRs grew their membership by over 50% in the first semester, provided a first-ever series of Regional Training Seminars, developed a solid source of information through their website, and increased communication like never before. A focus upon the basics of membership growth and development was established as the newly-formed organization fought to ensure a strong and solid base in the state. As conservative student leaders become plugged into the network of the Tennessee College Republicans, the Executive Board continues to plan numerous activities and events for chapters to benefit from. Chairwoman Moffett was re-elected at an exciting contested convention in March of 2006.
In 2007, then-Vice Chair Jonathan Bryant was elected Chairman.
In April of 2008, then-Vice Chair Jared Anderson of Vanderbilt University was elected Chairman of the organization. At the convention, delegates ratified a new constitution proposed by Chairman Anderson. Unified and energized, TNCRs head into the 2008 election season with a clear goal: change the political landscape of Tennessee and ultimately, the nation.
